Friday Activities

Today, half of the group went to the worksites and the other half stayed back at Almost Heaven.

The group that stayed at AH did several small projects to fix up the Center here in Cherry Grove. The remaining teens and adults

headed back out to the sites we had been working on all week.  We only had a half day of work.  We went to lunch

in Franklin.  Many of us ate at the Korner Cafe or at the Star Hotel Resturaunt.  After lunch we stopped at the Nursing Home

and put on a show for the residents at the Home.  We sang songs, told some jokes, and did a few skits.  The residents

really enjoyed it.  After a short stop in Germany Valley, where we took a group picture, we returned to AH

and cleaned the Center until dinner.  The nearest neighbors came over and talked and ate dinner with us.  Once dinner was over

it was time for devotions.  A story was read to us about a man who walked across Niagra Falls with a wheelbarrow.

As soon as devotions were over, we all shared what our favortie part of the week was and why we liked it.  A late night of talking

was all that remained of our week in WV.
