Teen Reflections for the day:
Today was our first day of work, and it was so awesome. We really started out the work week great.
We had four different work sites to work on and we also stocked the food pantry today as well.
When we arrived at the pantry, that is the most awesome senior girls ever, we piled food onto the shelves
and had tons left over (literally) that had to be stored in the pantry's new storage hut. My group then headed
over to the work site where we met up with the rest of our crew. Some of the other groups were painting, starting
to build the foundation, and cleaning up a yard and the neighboring yards. My group had a pretty tough job of
filling the foundation with gravel. We worked hour after hour shoveling gravel into a wheelbarrow then transferring
it to the house. At the end of the day our site leader informed us that it took the last group a week to do the
the amount of work we did in one day. It was really awesome to know we had set a new Habitat record. We came home
to John's delicious spaghetti casserole and of course a lot of fun and games. I think we're all a bit pooped from
a long but awesome day. But I don't think we're too pooped to plan a few April Fools tricks for tomorrow.
We're all having a great time together, I'll speak on behalf of all of us, we love you and miss you and can't wait
to tell you all about our trip. -Alexis Klefeker
